    Faulty can position sensor damage

    We have 2007 Yamaha f250s and one engine has one intake cam position sensor has gone bad. The only symptoms are a higher idle speed (900 instead of 600rpm) and rpm fluctuations at cruise, moving around 1-200rpms while under way. We have a new sensor on order but is it safe to take the boat out...
