    Engine starts with one or two pulls, normally. Unless it has been sitting for for more than 4 or 5 days. Then can take 5 to 7 pulls to start.     7.5 JOHNSON needs choke to run

    My old reliable 1983 JOHNSON 7.5 hp starts ok but won’t run at higher throttle without using choke. With half a choke it runs steady but will not respond to higher throttle- dies. Besides new plugs, gas filter clean, and carb bowl and jets cleans, any other suggestions?

    Teleflex 1991 Speedometer Guage adjustment?

    My Teleflex speed guage reads ten miles per hour higher than actual even at stop. Is there a way to adjust this guage? Had it out of the boat but couldn’t see any way to zero adjust the needle. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Trim tilt use reduces engine RPM?

    On my 2004 115hp Optimax, while cruising, if I use the tilt trim the engine rpms decrease then recover when tilt trim is not engaged. Up and down seems to have same effect. Any suggestions for a new member appreciated!
