    Tracker 175 2008 mercury 50 hp 2 stroke motor

    My tachometer operates correctly at idle and low speed but fully reverses direction and pins the needle at 7000 with the throttle wide open. What can I do to correct this? Thank for any input ps: boat originally equipped with a 2 stroke 9.9 Mercury Bigfoot outboard.
