Thanks for your input guys. I was able to find a new OEM head for a reasonable price. I decided to go this route thinking that if one plug was over torqued in the past, others probably were too. I like to have everything at its best for long outings on Lake Michigan.

Thanks. Replacement is my initial thought process. I imagine having to remove the head for the heli-coil install anyway so why reinstall a flawed component.
My middle starboard side spark plug hole threads stripped out. Is this something that can be repaired with a helli coil or should I look at replacing the head?
This is on a 1997 Johnson 225.
