    02 mercury Is the 50hp 2 stroke the same block as a 60hp

    Drop a cylinder on my 50. Considering ordering a new block 50,55,60 are all the price just wondering if I can order the 60hp and bolt it up to what I have is everything off the old motor compatible??

    2002 50hp mercury 2 stroke

    Ok so my power head (50hp) has a bad cylinder tore it down to rebuild it didn't know the heads don't come off so it's a blind bore !! Ring has came off and has scared up the walls and top of the camber. Also two ports are damage should I clean it up best I can,then just go back with new piston...
