    1977 140 Evinrude loss of power problem

    My 1977 140 Evinrude looses power at 4,500 rpm's and drops to 3,300 and back up to 4,500 all within seconds and continues to do this until I lower the rpm's down to about 3,800. At 4,200 rpm's it runs fine. Could it be water in gas, bad throttle cables, bad fuel pump, etc. I just yesterday...
