    Update, it appears cleaning the carbs fixed the issue. They was recently cleaned so didn't think that'd be it, but idle jets was almost completely stopped up. Put it in the water and she fired right up.

    I have a 1974 85hp johnson, it will start on the hose or in a barell all day and runs and revs great, the moment it is in the lake it won't start.
