    Short firing

    1988 Johnson 225 VRO. short firing and kicking out the starter motor. What could be causing this?

    Missing part on VRO pump???

    I did a VRO rebuild and now the engine short fires and kicks out the starter motor. Removed all spark plug cables and the engine turns over fine. Put the cables back on and agian. Short fires and kicks out starter motor.
