    30HP Mariner (by Yamaha) 2 Stroke Year?

    Serial number is 689 L 525571. Doesn't seem to fit into the serial number ranges on any sites I've looked at. Maybe between 1986 and 1989? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
