    if you click on them they should download and then you can open...at least they do fine for me. I keep getting "too large" for my .jpg's Yes...I do have the 50 amp breaker. Thanks again Jack

    Thanks Jack. Unless I missed it on the schematics...both reflect only ONE "breaker", no fuses. I assume that breaker is the 50 amp, not a 55 amp fuse.

    Yep, that was it Jack. Two of them were badly corroded so I replaced them both. Got gauges now and it even turns over! Tomorrow I'll get the muffs on and let her run for awhile. Then time for a long winters nap. Still don't know where that pesky 55 amp fuse is...or if there even is one. Been...

    Well guys, I am not seeing the 55amp fuse on the solenoid. See pics Pos cable sure looks directly connected

    ok...found this...it said part #18 Mercury-Mercruiser 88-79023T56 FUSE ASSY-55 AMP its on the starter but did not recognize it as a fuse

    wow...where on gods green earth is fuse 18?? I've looked apparently everywhere except there! All of the fuses in the fuse box are good.

    I take that back...I removed the breaker from its mount so I could test it .

    Thanks ghost engine s/n is 0K158272, Merc 3.0 LX Alpha One It was running ok when my daughter took it out until the alternator belt broke and the new battery ran down to zero. Thankfully she was close to shore so I got her in ok. I replaced both belts, jump charged the brand new battery, then...

    OK, put meter on both sides of the 50 am breaker...no voltage Tried to short both sides by touching with grounded wire...no spark apparent there is no ignition fuse in the fuse box...all fuses there are clean and good thought...does the 50 amp need to have the key turned on to get power? trim...
