    83 Evinrude 50Hp won't start after running awhile

    83 Evinrude 50HP will start and run fine. Occasionally after running for awhile it will not start then after sitting for a period of time will start fine again. Have charged the battery and replaced the coils. Have been told the rectifer overheating will cause this. Anyone have any answers?

    Lower cowl switch assembly removal

    2005 Mercury 115 HP Four Stroke. Lower Cowl trim switch assembly will lower motor but won't raise it. Pretty sure the switch is bad because trim and tilt works up and down on the throttle.     83 evinrude 50hp lower unit issue

    I am trying to remove the lower unit on my 50hp Evinrude. Have loosened all the bolts and the unit drops about 1/2 inch. Am I missing something??
