    Help! 1994 two stroke 40 hp Mariner outboard with power tilt/trim. I noticed my trim/tilt wires going from the tilt/trim motor to the engine are melted. I also noticed that my voltage regulator is melted too. My question is what caused this and can i just replace the damaged wires with 12 ga...
