    1999 30hp mariner 4 stroke shift shaft

    I have a 1999 mariner 30 hp 4 stroke and when I go to take the lower unit off it seems like it's being hung up on the shift shaft and I can't remove the unit. Any ideas on how to remove it? Cheers
