    It’s a 8 pin lay connector at the engine and same connection back at the helm.

Bought the boat mostly for the hull but I was told by the owner that it had a new block "crate motor" with no hours on it so I wondered if I could clean it up and run it for a year or two before...

    Looks to me like the Key is used for a grey wire.
