    Any one know if this pump is upside down and if it makes a difference?Will it work if the fuel inlet is on top?

    1993 Johnson 60 wont run in water

    I just got the boat and the seller told me how great it ran. Well it runs great in the driveway with a hose on it but put it in the water not so good. It starts fine, throttle up and it boggs down and dies. I dumped all the old fuel, changed the plugs and it still does it.
