    79 johnson 115 Which starter- Bosch or Prestolite How do I tell which is right?

    My starter was replaced with an aftermarket one. A year now and it is giving me problems. The teeth are chewed and the spiral gear has pieces gone on the starter shaft. This looks like a presotolite because it has a spring. How do I tell if it should have had a bosch? Thanks rtgsch
