    Thanks for your reply. I have not seen any gas drip and I have not done a compression check. What I noticed is the choke flaps stay wide open after the engine is running. Do you think this could be the problem? I will manually push in the flaps where they are slightly open and it will Idle, but...

    I rebuilt carb, now it will accelerate on its own then decelerate and stall. I also changed fuel pump. Any ideas on a repair. If the carb float is stuck could this be the problem? Could be I did not insert float evenly. Before rebuilding it would start for s minute or so then stall.
