    Mercruiser 4.3lx 1989

    Hi!! i try to change my fuel pump, but i don't know if i must push up or down thw rode inside. i try with my finger, and i can't push up but i can push down for insert the new pump. Is t normal?? Everybody told me thta's impossible.. Help me please!!
