    1986 mercury mariner 40 HP losing power

    when im idling in the morning its running fine...after about 1/4 mile it starts to bog down and if i put it in neutral it will die on me..if i leave it in gear it will start bogging down then picks up and bogs down.. i have no idea what is the problem and am having a hard time finding any info...
