    Ok, how do I identify it if I chose to rebuild it? How can I get the true model number and manufacture date? Is it worth revuilding or just buy a trolling motor to putt around with.

    How did you know the motor was last produced in 1998? With the lower unit off i can shift to drive and it locks in, neutral is fine, reverse never engages. When it was assembled and on the boat it made a horrendous grinding noise shifting into reverse and never engaged. I just want to get back...

    This is what I know... Johnson 90hp OceanPro (from cowl hood) 2 stroke, premix fuel. 22.25" drive shaft (tip to face of foot) 13 spilne prop shat, 5.5" long. This is on a February 2000 manufactured Muarell pontoon. I believe this motor was only made between 1999 - 2001. Tag is missing on pivot...

    Help ID Johnson OceanPro 90HP

    I have a 2002 18' Crest/Maurell pontoon with this motor on it. Only way I know anything about it is the stickers. It is a V4 carburetor 2 stroke. Trying to see if it has any value as I need to downsize. The only data tag I found is unreadable.
