    I had a weak spark. After changing all the ignition components and looking at some schematics I noticed the power was coming from the starter solenoid. The solenoid and starter looked pretty bad so I tried changing it and it helped.

    Got it on the water today and got about 43 mph at 4800 RPM. Looks like changing the starter fix all the issues. Who'd have thunk. Thanks for everyone's input and happy boating.

    Bought it in Oct 2022 and had it out once and ran good but it did do the hard to start thing. It had the power issue all last year.

    Yes. It was perfectly clean when I put it on the water in April of 2023. It had some growth on it when I took it off in December but not horrible.

    My 2013 Rinker 290 MerCruiser 8.2 Mag will not make full power. Won't get on plane and only does about 15-20 mph at WOT and 4000 rmp. I have changed the cool fuel filters, both fuel pumps, fuel regulator, spark plugs twice, spark plug wires, both coil packs, MAT, PCV valve, taken out and cleaned...
