    1998 Johnson 115 starts, but won’t maintain fuel pressure

    Ok, got a 1998 Johnson 115. Pump up the bulb, motor starts, won’t maitain fuel pressure, dies. Replaced bulb, fuel line. Bypassed the water filter, no joy. Don’t know enough about the motor to find and test fuel pump. ideas?

    1998 115 hp Johnson won’t hold fuel pressure

    Ok, got a problem. Can pump the bulb, engine starts, then dies, no fuel pressure in the line. Replaced the fuel line, bulb, bypassed the water filter, plenty of fuel in tank. Not familiar with motor to see if fuel pump is bad. suggesstions?
