    Ty, going to order both the O ring and 4" seal It's going to be at least 7-10 days before I get to it. Will post results once I can get it all done. Have a great Labor Day weekend.

    I drained it, and pinched the hose right before the engine bay reservoir. Guess will have to do another pressure and vacuum test. In your experience, if oil is leaking behind the inner prop...just a few drops. Cold this be the main seal on the bearing carrier? Ty, for the info and quick reply

    2006 Bravo3 I see a small amount of water at the bottom of lube reservoir, maybe a tablespoon. Drained all gear lube, tested pressure. Had it at 10psi for 1hr. Added gear lube, took it out for about an hour trip. After a few days of sitting there's a line of water at the bottom of reservoir...

    Thank you Ran the motor on the hose today for about 20 minutes. Reved it to around 3000rpm a few times. No knocking, starts right away. Didn't have time to put in the water and run it under load, but because it sounds so much better, I think it will be fine. Thanks again for helping and sharing...

    Problem solved, engine started up and running smoothly without any nocking. I think I may have been the one at fault for the issue.     2006 Mercruiser MPI 5.0 -- 450 hrs Salt water cooled Boat has twin engines. At the beginning of the season Port engine #2 cylinder had water in it. Turns out it was the head, it had a hole in the water jackets right around the seat on the exhaust port. Replaced heads and it's been running fine...
