    1981 40hp mercury- water in upper cylinder

    I have water coming out by the spark plug, upper cylinder only, what could cause this other than crack or hole in block? gasket for block cover ? exhaust plate/powerhead ? exhaust divider plate gaskets (2) ? I have ordered these 4 gaskests but havent torn motor down yet
