    Crusader Top End RPM

    "I am looking at a 1983 40&#39 "I am looking at a 1983 40' Egg Harbor with 1995 454 Crusaders. The owner says that the engines top out at 3300, which I think is way low. Shouldn't they be at least 4000-4400rpm? The props are 24x23 with 2.5:1 gears. Any insight would be appreciated."
