    My new 2005 F225 rpm’s lagging, engine pop, stall under wot w/ load. w/o load in neutral rpm lags, doesn’t go over 5600 and bounces up and down

    i just had similar problems with my 2003 twin 225s its the throttle position sensor its just a rheostat but tells the cpu but tells how much fuel to deliver i went from 23gal at 3500rpm to 14 gal at 3500 also increased my rpm from 5100 to 5600 rpm

    all is well it was the throttle position sensor on both motors where bad, the motors are now are using 14 gph total at 3500 rpm, it also increased my top end rpm from 5100 to 5600 with loaded boat One happy boater thanks everyone

    only on the senders, throttle position sensor(tells cpu where throttle position is and sends fuel to injectors), temperature sensor(tells cpu engine temperature is if indicating they are cold cpu will richen the fuel mixture) are the two that could cause it or the cpu could need to be reloaded

    both set ups showed the same amount of fuel being used the issue is the motors are using more fuel than they should ex before 3500rpm/15gph now 3500rpm/23gph the question is why

    both motors with in 2 tenths a gal at cruise. had Yamaha gauge set did not believe it so i added Garmin fuel sensor same reading, The reading are correct at fill up gal used is with in 2 gal while motoring at consent rpm for 1/2 hour fuel used is 1/2 my gph. something is telling my cpu to run...

    have twin 225 2003 till the last year i was getting 15gph at 3500rpm now running at 23gph local yard is stumped any sugestion
