    Replace mechanical fuel pump or keep electric on Mercruiser 170?

    Hello, I have a 1986 Mercruiser 170, 3.7. I just got it this winter and haven't run it yet. The fuel fill and supply hoses were all very old and leaking. I've already replaced the fill hose to the tank and breather hose. Now I'm working on replacing the fuel supply hoses to the fuel pump(s)...
