    Hey thank you for your help - I rigged up a gap tester like you said and the spark is jumping well over 3/8" without issue on all 3 spark plug cables.

    Hey and thanks for the reply - would you be able to explain how to test the spark jumping a gap of 3/8", the plugs are new and came pregapped, its nowhere close to 3/8". I also did pull the head off and check that gasket, the pistons had no rust or corrosion on the inside that I could see...
