    New to Outboards ... Question about possible water leak?

    Have had numerous Mercruiser I/O's but this is my 1st Mercury Outboard. Bought it used > 2007 50 HP ELPT > 4 stroke ... and finally got a day to hook it up to water muffs and start it ... I had seen it run on the boat in a lake ... but not out of the lake with water muffs on. Started the water...
