    1989 mercruiser 5.0 leaking water

    My 5.0 Merc is leaking water at bottom of timing chain cover. I can’t find any external leaks. Is there freeze plugs under the timing cover or a bolt that can come loose. Also can the cover come off without issues with oil pan. Any help would on this issue would be great. Thanks Nate
