    stripped shift lever screw in lower unit of 1993 40 hp evinrude

    Any suggestions on how to fix a stripped shift lever screw in lower unit. It was noticed when lower unit was serviced at end of last season. not sure if the screw is stripped, or broke off inside lower unit and therefore now too short. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
