    Thanks for your help. there was a bad wire on the engine harness. replaced harness and all is good.

    The engine is OMC 302AMRGDP 3.0L Stern Drive. I will check the switch. Where does this land on the engine?

    I have a 1988 Four Winns Freedom 160. The engine will start and run if the key is held in the start position. Once I release the key, the engine will die. It ran a few weeks ago. Ow nothing.
