    03 merc 9.9 bigfoot wont run unless choked

    Was running fine ..suddenly stalled and would not start..squirted fuel into carb and would start and run for few seconds...took carb off...thoughourly cleaned carb and jets..needle..all ports etc..float is good..reassebled and still same issue..will only start and run if i hold choke on

    Please help...merc 9.9 bigfoot

    On the lake ..was running great and just stalled and would not start back up..used a bottle to squirt fuel into carb and would run for few seconds..got it home took carb apart and cleaned jets.. Needle valve ..all ports etc..float good.. No cracks etc..put back together and basicly same issue...
