    drop in rpm in mercury 525efi

    while running WOT my twin 525efis suddenly dropped rpm from 5400 down to 4000-4200 rpm. a anyone tell me what could have caused that? The props are in order, there was no engine stutter. Just shut down the motors and have not started since. Any ideas on this situation? Thanks MMC
