    Is compression number OK on 1977 800 Mercury

    Hello all, Should I pull the power head and check the bottom of cylinder on 1977 800 Mercury outboard? The compression as 145/143/140 psi but the bottom cylinder jut hit only 125/128 psi. Is it acceptable compression for this outboard?

    Where to start with Mercury 8000
