    Not sure i understand. I am planning on puttinv a multi meter on yhe cabele going yo the battery. I should put ond lead ln the yelloe wire from the ststor?

    Our 1985 Merc 90 hp runs very well, but voltagd out is only 11.2 volts, though it rises to 12.6 when i connect the portable power pack. The battery is 2 yrs old, kdlt indoorz in tbe winter. Any thoughts on whether tbis is a this a battery issue or a stator/ resistor/ revulator problem?
