    Slow in gear / idling normal

    My 40 hp 2 stroke Mariner idles great, but then runs very slow (just above idle speed) when put into gear. It doesn't rev up the RPMs while in gear. It simply plows through the water, regardless of throttle position. I took it to the shop and they said I had a gasket leak that was shorting out...
