    Need Help Please, 1988 4HP Cannot pull lower unit off

    I have a Japanese made 1988 4HP (merc) that I believe has a busted impeller. I am trying to remove the lower unit and I cannot pull the shafts out of the motor. It has reverse and when I pull up on the un bolted lower unit it seperates about 2-3inches then the shifting lever will move to reverse...
