    Okay, well if anyone else refers to this, problem solved. Liner for the fuel line from the portable tank was collapsing and starving the motor. Not sure why once it was up to speed it ran okay, I would assume that the liner was getting pulled, relaxed, pulled, relaxed, ...

    2001 25ELPT 4S Rebuilt carburetor, new plugs, changed fuel filter, changed gas in tank, no impact. Has been doing this for months. Starts immediately, runs great at idle and WOT, but when going to WOT I usually have to flutter the throttle to get it there, after running for awhile I can punch it...
