    mercury 50hp 2 stroke over reving

    I have a 50 HP 2 stroke that when you take off with full throtle the motor over revs once it climbs past 4k rpm. This problem just began with no symptoms prior. The boat begins to plain off and once it does the motor.over revs from 5400 to 6400. Any ideas as to my problem? Thanks for your help.
