    waterpump replaced on 25HP Evinrude but gear shift not correct

    Hi, this is my first post so bear with me. I replaced the water pump on motor and now pumping fine. However, the gears are in wrong position on shifter. Neutral is now way off from previous position. Apparently I have to adjust shifter connection but doesn't seem to change anything? Any ideas?
