    Corrosion on Engine Block

    Hi Guys, Considering buying a used Yamaha 90. There is what appears to be significant corrosion on one side of the engine. A comparison photo from the internet of the same area is also attached. Any idea of the cause and significance of this apparent corrosion? Thanks!
