    Lower unit issues

    We have the lower dropped. We tried to turn the shift shaft clock wise but it will not move, the prop spins ccw still but with resistance. Prop free spins clock wise with click noise. So basically we can’t move the shift shaft and we can’t get the prop to “lock” ccw it turns fairly easily ccw.

    Yea I understand but I’m saying it won’t turn clock wise. When I spin the prop ccw the big shaft turns and when I spin it clock wise the big shaft doesn’t move, does this mean the lower unit is in FWD gear?

    3.0 140. We dropped the lower unit to replace the impeller and had to spin the shaft a good bit to get the new impeller installed correctly. Once we got it back together we realized the lower unit wasn’t in the same gear as the shifter. What should we do to get everything back in line, dropping...

    Or what if I grind the surface of my current parts pretty flush? Would that let it seal properly or would it need to be machined perfectly flat?

    Ohh that would make sense. Would it hurt anything if I happened to get the one that doesn’t replace the piece? I mean either way it’s gonna seal to the manifold

    Dead on the money! It is the 2 piece, it’s that #22 in the diagram that I am looking for. Unfortunately it says unavailable for order. Thank you for the help at least I have the part # now!

    My exhaust elbow has an awful uneven surface and I doubt it will seal. I need to order the elbow and the spacer that goes between it and the manifold but I can not find that spacer anywhere what is the actual name of this? I was under the impression it would be the “riser” but searching that...
