    So, I just went ahead a bought a new fuel pump for it. The new pump came with a 4 prong plug. With purple, tan, black and grey. My old pump was a 3 wire plug. I switched the plug from the old to the new. Put it on and it fired right up. Question is.... Do I need the purple wire

    So, I took off the little plastic cap off and now it won't stay in place. It just falls out. Suggestions??

    Yes that is it. It started only running at 1200 rpm and limping. I noticed a lot of oil not being burned off and coming from motor. I got it home and primed the pump and noticed the fuel leak. Thoughts??

    The original pump is currently in place. It ran fine for the last 3 yrs that I have had it then it started flooding out at 1200 rpm and would only limp back to dock.     There seems to be a button of some sort on top of pump that leaks fuel when I pump it up. What is this for?
