    Correct method of reading gearbox oil level

    I get widely varying readings I get widely varying readings off the dip stick depending on if the filler plug is in or out. Please could someone advise me of the correct method for measuring the quantity of the gearbox oil. Could someone also confirm that the correct quantity is 1.1 L. Thanks!

    Bukh 20 not acheiving high RPM

    I have a Bukh 20 which used to I have a Bukh 20 which used to reach about 3000RPM flat out. The yacht has been out of the water for 10 weeks for a refit. During this time the engine was not run. On re-entering service only 2400RPM is acheived. Same propellor.
