    2013 5.0 Mercury sims to be locked up

    Thought I had a dead battery as it was the original from 2013. Replaced with new battery. The engine will barely turn over. Had a knocking noise when trying to start and sounds like the starter gear broke. Starter just spins not engaging the flywheel. Any advise???
