    1985 Mariner 40hp 6e9 L 414067 Pulled Baring Carrier but debaring is still in the gear box

    I pulled the bearing carrier but the bearing stayed in the gear box. I did not know the oil plug acted as a lock for the shift shaft. I pulled the oil plug out and inadvertently pulled the shift shaft out too this caused the cam follower to hit the back of the gear box. Is this what’s keeping...
