    Well I got the shaft out and everything apart. CT boat repair in South Windsor CT had a cover nut tool that was close enough to work. Even gave it to me.     Sounds like there is something out of whack then. With the grip totally closed the cam is nowhere near the carb. Thanks for the help I will adjust it.
