    1987 Johnson 150 shift rod upper disconnect

    I can see the head of a bolt down in the area where the rod should be coming up but can't tell how it might connect to the shift rod? The bolt head is pointing forward as opposed to side ways as I would expect. I have a picture I can send if you think you can help. Can't figure how to insert.
