    Not familiar with the impact valve. Is it external or inside the tilt cylinder?

    I checked with 5 Star Marine, they don’t sell a rebuild kid or individual parts for this tilt/trim unit. They will rebuild this one. Besides cost I don’t want to be down that long. Do you guys know of any other hydraulic shops that might have a kit/parts. Thanks

    I backed off the manual release 1 turn the retighten. It’s only the tilt cylinder that leaks down. I have to pull the whole assembly so I go ahead and reseal everything. Thanks for your input.

    Thanks, I’ll see if I can find a rebuild kit and reseal the 3 cylinders, replace the 2 poppets and orings.

    I have a1987 175hp mercury BlackMax. The tilt cylinder leaks down, no external leaks. Could it be more than just cylinder packing?
